Herman G. Hernandez of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County spoke to us about the difference our $1,000 donation is making in enabling students to attend the Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp at Guerneville School. The camp runs from June 4th to July 13th.  The students have a variety of educational activities during the day including field trips to various sites in the county. Herman told us that in addition to the Guerneville summer camp locally, Boys and Girls Clubs run an after school program from 2:00-6:00 PM at Guerneville and Monte Rio Schools during the school year,  the Tomorrow's Leaders Today program for  11th and 12th graders at El Molino and Analy High Schools, and the REACH Program providing mentors to youth in the juvenile detention center. This nonprofit has clubs throughout the different cities in central Sonoma County and has 250 employees. Our donation was specifically used to provide scholarships to the Guerneville Summer Camp.
